Diana Moore's operatic career began when she created the role of Nimrod for Jonathan Dove in his community opera, Palace in the Sky, written for ENO's Bayliss Project and performed with an 300 strong cast of local community groups at Hackney Empire. Work with the Early Opera Company followed, conducted by Christian Curnyn. Directed by Netia Jones, she played the part of Armindo in Handel's Partenope at Buxton Festival, Aldeburgh Festival and Linbury Studio. Further roles and projects with the group followed, including Bradamante (Alcina) at Iford Festival and Wigmore Hall; Sorceress (Dido and Aeneas) at Iford and Cheltenham Festival, and then Dido (Dido and Aeneas) at St John's Smith Square.

She sang the role of Penelope in an Aldeburgh Productions project of Monteverdi's Il Ritorno d'Ulisse in Patria with directors Tim Carroll and Michael Chance, performed first at Snape Maltings and then transferred to the Globe Theatre, London. This led to further collaboration with Tim Carroll in New Kent Opera's production of Il Re Pastore (Tamiri).

Following an audition with Nicolas McGegan, Diana was invited to sing the role of Kate in the Scottish Chamber Orchestra's staged performances of Gilbert & Sullivan's Pirates of Penzance in Edinburgh and Glasgow. This collaboration was to lead to an ongoing association that continues today. Mr McGegan asked Diana to sing the title role in Handel's Rinaldo at Göttingen International Handelfestspiel in 2004, directed by Igor Folwill. After great success, she returned to Göttingen to sing Sesto (Handel's Giulio Cesare), directed again by Folwill in 2007, and again in 2008 to sing Medoro (Handel's Orlando) in a full baroque staging, directed by Catherine Turocy of the New York Baroque Dance Company. The production met with great critical acclaim and was invited to visit the Court Theatre at Drottningholm, Sweden in August 2009 and has led to concert
performances with Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra and McGegan in San Francisco in April 2010. The production continues in Summer 2011 with performances at the Lincoln Centre, New York, Tanglewood Festival and Ravinia Festival.

The role of Rinaldo seems to be a recurring theme. In 2005, Diana was asked to replace an ailing singer of the title role with 24 hours notice at Vlaamse Oper, Antwerp and took part in 3 performances. Then, in November 2009, Diana was asked again to step in at 24 hours notice to replace a stricken singer at the Narodni Divadlo (National Theatre) in Prague with Collegium 1704 conducted by Vaclav Luks, directed by Louise Moaty. After a great success, she was asked to sing the role in the revival of the production in Autumn/Winter 2010. Performances of the same production at the Opera de Versailles will follow, in January 2011.
